Common problems and solutions of back tipping and self unloading semi trailer

Date:2022-10-11 Author: Click:

The dump semi-trailer is applicable to the transportation of bulk and scattered goods such as coal, ore, construction materials, etc. Dump semi trailers can be divided into two categories according to their uses: one is the heavy and super heavy dump trailers used for off highway transportation, which mainly undertake transportation tasks such as large-scale mines and projects, and are usually used together with excavators. The other type belongs to light, medium and ordinary dump trailers for road transportation, which are mainly used to transport loose goods such as sand, soil and coal, and are usually used together with loaders.

Now let's take a look at the common problems and solutions of container overturning and self unloading semi-trailer:

1. Why does the car descend when pressing the lifting switch of the instrument panel; When the lower switch of the instrument panel is pressed, the car is lifted? Answer: This is caused by the reverse connection of the solenoid valve controlling lifting and lowering. There are three ways to eliminate it: ① Exchange the wires of lifting and lowering switches on the instrument panel; ② Exchange the wires of the solenoid valve controlling lifting and lowering; ③ Switch the two air pipes of the distribution valve.

2. Does the dump truck not lift? Answer: The following components shall be checked if the dump truck is not lifted. Check the power take-off: first check whether the transmission shaft connected to the oil pump rotates. If it does not, it indicates that there is a problem with the power take-off (there is a problem with the solenoid valve of the power take-off or the power take-off itself); If it rotates, it indicates that the power take-off is OK, and further troubleshooting should be carried out.

Check the oil pump: ① Whether the rotation direction of the oil pump is correct. When the left hand is extended, the thumb is facing the oil pump spline, and the rotation direction of the thumb is the same as that of the other fingers, it is a left rotation pump, and vice versa. ② Check whether the oil pump is damaged. The wear of the oil pump will cause the high and low pressure chambers of the oil pump to be connected and unable to pump oil.

Check the distribution valve: ① Whether there is air in the air pipe on the distribution valve. Press the lifting and lowering switches to check whether there is air in the two air pipes on the distribution valve. If there is no air, it indicates that the solenoid valve controlling lifting and lowering is faulty, and the solenoid valve should be replaced. ② Whether the distribution valve is damaged.

3. Is the lifting speed of the trunk adjustable, and is it a fault if the automatic lowering is fast? Answer: The lifting speed is not adjustable. Falling too fast is a fault phenomenon.

4. What are the important hydraulic components of the hydraulic lifting system and their functions? Answer: oil pump - oil supply; Check valve - to control the flow direction of oil; Distribution valve (rotary valve) - to control the lifting and lowering of the trunk; Oil cylinder - generates thrust.

5. How to solve the climbing problem during lifting? Answer: Sometimes during the lifting of the carriage, climbing occurs. This phenomenon is mostly caused by the intake of air in the hydraulic system and the oil cylinder is full of oil and gas mixture.

6. Why does the gear pump have "tooth beating"? How to exclude? Answer: Sometimes when the power take-off takes power, the gear pump makes a quick "click, click...", which is mostly caused by insufficient oil intake of the oil pump. This phenomenon occurs in new vehicles, which may be caused by the thin oil inlet pipe of the oil pump or the suction of the oil inlet pipe. The oil inlet pipe should be thickened, and the oil inlet pipe with high strength and hardness (with steel wire in the pipe) should be used; After using the dump truck for a period of time, the oil inlet pipe may be aged and shrunk, or the filter screen at the oil outlet of the oil storage tank may be blocked, causing poor oil inlet. If all possibilities have been eliminated, the oil pump can only be damaged and should be replaced in time.
